BAND
BIO'S
Jerry Chaney (dobro,vocals)
was born and raised in East Central Kentucky near Irvine. Jerry
has been involved in music his entire life, coming from a musical
family, and began singing in church with his family at a young age.
He is a multi-instrumentalist, and wonderful vocalist, who has a
great passion for bluegrass and acoustic music. He has also began
to compose on the dobro as well.
Dave Carroll (guitar,vocals)
was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky in the small farming community
of Rattlesnake Ridge, which is between the towns of Grayson and
Olive Hill. Dave began singing at a very young age, but didn't take
up playing until his late teens. Dave is also known for his songwriting,
having his songs recorded by groups such as The Lonesome River Band,
Lou Reid and Carolina, Blue Moon Rising, Ernie Thacker and Route
23, as well as others.
Chaston Carroll (mandolin,vocals)
Chaston joined New River Line in June 2009 at the young age of just
15 years. He has been fanatical about Bluegrass Music even before
he was old enough to go to school. While most kids were playing
ball or riding bikes, Chaston(Chaz) spent most of his time with
a mandolin in his hands and headphones on his head, listening and
learning as much about music as he could. Because of his natural
ability and unsurpassed hard work with his music, the sky is truely
the limit for his musical career. Some of his mandolin role models
are Alan Bibey, Wayne Benson, Dan Tyminski, Doyle Lawson, and Danny
Roberts, just to name a few.
Chad Gilbert (bass)
was born and raised near the Pleasant Hill community of Carter County
Kentucky, between the towns of Grayson, and Olive Hill. Chad began
to learn to play in his early teen years, and has a reverence about
Bluegrass Music and the affect that it has on not only his life,
but the lives of others. He is a wonderful bassist who truely enjoys
the experience of traveling from place to place, bring his favorite
music to others.
Johnny Branham (banjo,vocals)
was born and raised in Lawerence County Kentucky, near the town
of Louisa. Johnny has played banjo nearly his entire life, and was
a founding member of the highly acclaimed and SPBGMA Award winning
Gospel Group, 5 For The Gospel. Johnny has a life time of musical
experience, and loves to entertain others with his music and personality.
